I could walk around this little shop for an hour!
Becky, the store manager, usually has her Yorkie (Tucker!!!) there to help her greet customers at the front desk.

This is where the ceremony will be!
If you walk past the park, beyond the fence, there is a path that goes down to the water and you can walk across the rocks to get a nice view of the Pemi or even put your feet in!
For anyone with mobility restrictions, there is a parking lot and another entrance that cannot be seen from the picture above as well as a sitting area at street level. :)
1. Sometimes you need an amazing roast beef sando to make your weekend whole.
2. Don't knock it before you check it out!
3. Knowing Matty & Cassie, are you really that surprised that there is a giant roast beef sub at the top of our Things To Do page?

This large pothole in the Pemigewasset River, 30 feet in diameter and 15 feet deep, had its beginning some 25,000 years ago as the Ice Age came to a close. Water flowing from the melting glacier that filled Franconia Notch eroded the solid granite bedrock. During the thousands of years that followed sand and stones were whirled around by the force of the river causing a boring action that left the sidewalls smooth. The rock formation seen in the stream bed at the outlet has been known for generations as The Old Mans Foot. The great American naturalist, Henry David Thoreau (1817-62), on his first trip to the White Mountains in September of 1839 stood here, as you do, and watched the water cascade into the granite bowl and whirlpool around its walls. He would later write in his Journal, this pothole is perhaps the most remarkable curiosity of its kind in New England. Samuel Eastman in his 1858 White Mountain Guide called this spot One of the beautiful haunts of Nature, a luxurious and delicious bath fit for the ablutions of a goddess. The Basin can be accessed from the northbound and southbound directions. There are picnic tables and walking paths, as well as hiking trails.

Lincoln is the little town right off Exit 32 from Route 93. One little exit, a lot of adventure to discover! Lincoln was put on the map in the 1800’s when the railroad came to town, and logging companies started setting their roots. When the logging industry began to dry up, tourists began visiting the region and they have not stopped coming! Located on the western end of the Kancamagus Highway, Lincoln is a great base for visitors looking to explore the region. There are restaurants for every taste, and a winery and brewery all in the same building. Take in a theatrical performance in the summer and ski the day away in the winter. Soar through the air on one of our adrenaline pumping ziplines or visit the summit of a ski mountain by gondola or tram.
Rather explore the White Mountains by foot? There are several iconic trails in the Lincoln area including Georgiana Falls, Lincoln Woods, and Mount Pemigewasset. (Not only is Mount Pemigewasset a great hike, but you can also view its impressive rock face from north Lincoln, which is said to be the profile of Chief of the Pemigewasset tribe). Visit a waterpark while you are in town, or take your family to Clark’s Bears, who has been entertaining families for over 90 years.
